Youth produced TV program (kids) in Armenia

In Armenia, a new project involving young people and the media is being launched. The goal of the project is to inform adults, peers, caregivers and neighbors about healthy lifestyle choices and actions. The young people involved in the project will be educating their audiences through a new TV program, that is solely run by the youth themselves. They will be producing, scripting, hosting and gathering the necessary information needed to inform people about a healthy lifestyle, completely on their own.

The project is aiming to educate, as well as to help build the youths' confidence and abilities to work together, in order to enhance their education and problem solving skills through teaching others. What is great about the project is the use of fun and interesting topics.

The youth will be talking about topics and issues that interest them, and are relevant and important in their lives. This should help their parents, caregivers and teachers, improve their communication and comfort level with their children and loved ones. Making the discussions interesting and relevant to the young people involved, will hopefully enable them to become more educated and produce a better TV program, by using the skills they have and the information and topics that they have a passion for.

The Armenian project not only informs the public and loved ones, but builds many skills and relationship foundations that will be a much needed advantage for the young people's future. Some of the goals are to improve job and school skills, to build confidence and faith in one's abilities, to learn more by being involved, and to become more cultured, as well as educated.

The youth are from the Caucasus mountains, and their topics and current events will be leaning toward healthy lifestyles for the residents of the Caucasus mountains. All discussions during this youth produced TV program will be centered on Caucasus youth, and what is important to them. This TV program is a very good start toward keeping these young people on track and focused on their life goals, all while educating their audiences, loved ones and families.
